September Recovery Month
As we close out another September Recovery month my heart is so full as I reflect on my time in both the Pullman and Moscow communities! Since graduating from WSU in 2008, the last time I was in Pullman was in 2017. So much has changed in my small college town, yet also a lot of things remain the same! The vibe, the open arms and support of all things is what’s this town is about!
As I reflect on my recovery journey over the past 13 years, there are so many emotions that come up for me. There have been plenty of bumps and bruises along the way, yet I continue to be empowered within. Reflection is a huge part of my recovery, because it allows me the space to think about everything that has happened and how far I have come, along with being able to have so many things to look forward these days considering where I was. When the canvas is blank, I can do anything I want with it. My recovery has given me the freedom to be on a path filled with more life, love and laughter, than I ever thought possible.
It was a true honor to be a part of such great events! Huge shout out to Latah Recovery, Vandal Recovery, Whitman recovery community and the Whitman County Chamber of Commerce for the hours of planning that went into to making these two events possible! The day was filled with vulnerability, connection, tears, joy, raising awareness and laughter as we celebrated National Recovery month. Looking forward to more collaborations in the future and thank you to everyone who came out to spend the day with us!
